The Quayside, Singapore

The Quayside is situated at the western end of the northern Riverside Walk and occupies a large dominant riverfront site. It is one of the last major retail destinations on the Riverside Walk prior to the developments becoming predominantly residential.

URL have been commissioned to undertake a series of remodeling works to the retail facade, atrium space and improvements to the riverfront accessibility for alfresco dining.

The proposal includes:
• A continuous timber louvred screen to obscure the level 1 car park and shade shop front areas
• Opening up the atrium space to the river views
• Improving access to the riverfront to allow this space to be utilised as alfresco dining areas
• The introduction of shop front design guidelines to create a more cohesive retail language
